v_leesy2k1 Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 hi why are u bleeding the brakes from the nipple iv done my front discs and pads today on my x reg 1.9 tdi and all you do to get the piston backis take the cap of where u fill it up and then you can push the piston back with some g clamps the hardest thing to do was get the pads and discs that went with my car cause it is on the change over year the job its self is easy Quote
mk2vr6 Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 because you risk the chance of back feeding dirt in the brake lines back up into the abs valve block or flipping a seal in there, for the time and hassle it takes to bleed the excess fluid out via the bleed nipple it's not worth the risk....cue radio boredom...........
